The next season is.

なんとか今年も扇風機だけで夏の盛りを乗り切った。

ここ10年ぐらい、「今年こそはクーラーを買うべきか…」と迷いつつ、暑い暑いとヨレヨレになりながらなんとか熱中症にもならず過ごしている。
（体質的にクーラーが得意じゃない、というのもある）

なんとか今年も無事に猛暑を越せてよかったと思っている。

個人的にはこの夏から秋への移り変わりの季節が一番好きではある。
日が暮れるのが早くなって感じる、夏の終わり独特の夕方の少しさみしいような切ないような雰囲気なんかが特に。
（ヒグラシなんかが鳴いていたら、もう最高）

まだまだ日中は残暑が厳しい日もあるけれど、ラジオから流れてくる曲も雰囲気が変わってきているので、ここでも季節の変わり目を感じる。
（我が家はラジオ派。ほぼ毎日、朝から晩までかかってます）

心の機微が丁寧に描かれた小説でも読みたい気分。
（今年の夏はすっごい漫画を読んだ…個人的には、アニメーションや映像より漫画、小説派）

I managed to get through the height of summer this year using only a fan.

For the past 10 years or so, I have wondered if I should buy an air conditioner this year, but I’ve managed to spend my time without getting heat stroke while being exhausted from the heat.
(I am not good with air conditioners, partly because I am constitutionally unfit for them.)

I am glad that I managed to survive the heat wave this year as well.

Personally, I like the transition from summer to autumn the best.
I especially like the feeling of the early evening sunset, and the sad and lonely atmosphere at the end of the summer.
(I love it when I hear the chirping of a brown-eared bulbul.)

Although there are still days with lingering heat during the day, the music on the radio is changing its mood, so I feel the change of season here as well.
(We are radio people. It’s on almost every day, from morning till night.)

I feel like reading a novel that carefully depicts the subtleties of the heart.
(I read a lot of manga this summer…Personally, I prefer manga and novels to animations and videos.)
