12星座をテーマにした作品「星の時間割」シリーズを作るにあたり、火・風・土・水の四大元素をイメージした4種類の造形にそれぞれの星座の守護石を配置することにした。

風の元素はどうしよう…と思った時に浮かんできたのは、「都会のビルの間を軽やかに吹き抜けていく風。地面から空へ向かって強く舞い上がるような風を受けて、見上げた先には光の環を放つほどに輝く太陽」だった。

In creating the “Hoshi no jikanwari” series of works on the theme of the 12 signs of the zodiac, I decided to place the guardian stones of each sign on four different sculptures inspired by the four elements of fire, wind, earth, and water.

What about the element of wind… what came to mind when I thought of this was “The wind blows lightly between the buildings in the city.
The wind that seems to soar strongly from the ground to the sky, and the sun that shines so brightly that it releases a ring of light when you look up”.
