作ってみたイヤーカフ。左はクリップ式。

マスクをするようになって、ピアスよりもイヤーカフの出番が多い、とお洒落な友人が教えてくれた。
（いつも有益な情報を教えてくれてありがとう！）

確かにマスクの着脱時にピアスは邪魔だもんな…と思ったので、調べてみた。
（私個人としては冬場は風邪予防でマスク着用率が高いので、マスク着脱時のピアス問題には慣れっこになっていた…）
金具の工夫次第で色々と作れそうな事がわかったので、イヤーカフを作りつつ、ピアスについてはデザインや金具を変更することにした。

で、出来上がったのが上の写真。

イヤーカフはサイズが小さくなるので、蜜蝋の引き目模様とか見えないのでは…曲線のデザインがしづらいのでは…と思って作ってこなかったんだけど、全くの思い込みだった。

イヤーカフを着けるのは、高校生くらいの時以来だな…と思いながら、色々と実験して耳を真っ赤にしながらも（爆）楽しく作っている。

A fashionable friend of mine told me that since I started wearing a mask, I’ve been wearing ear cuffs more often than earrings.

It’s true that earrings get in the way when putting on and taking off the mask…, so I looked into it.
(As for me personally, I wear a lot of masks in winter to prevent colds, so I had become accustomed to the piercing problem when putting on and taking off the mask…)
I found out that I could make various kinds of earrings depending on the metal fittings, so I decided to change the design and metal fittings for the earrings while making the ear cuffs.

The finished product is shown in the photo above.

The ear cuffs will be smaller in size, so I won’t be able to see the Mitsurou grain pattern…, and it would be difficult to make curved designs…, but I was totally wrong.

I thought that I haven’t worn ear cuffs since I was in high school…., and I am enjoying making these ear cuffs and experimenting with various things and making my ears bright red.
