台風が過ぎていった翌日は、台風なんてもともと来なかったかのような晴天だった。
だから、風も気温もちょうど良かったので、やろうやろうと思いつつ、数ヶ月放置し（爆）、痛んでしまった掲示板の修理をした。

数年前に父が、木製の二段ベットを解体して作ってくれたものに油性ニスを塗って、通りに面した倉庫の壁に取り付け、展示会やら販促のチラシやらを掲示。
特に凝った作りも彩色もしていないけど、近所の人たちからは好評なので、特に何もせず使っていたのだけれど、やはり雨風にさらされることもあって、最近ではニスも剥がれて、見た目にも痛んでいることがわかる状態で。

シャービーな感じになったらラッキー、と思っていたら、シャビーどころかみすぼらしくなってしまった（爆）

で、修理しないと…と思いつつ、放置すること数ヶ月（爆）
（やろうと思ったら、夏が来ちゃった）
掲示したいものができたので、ようやく重い腰を上げたのが今週末（爆）

やはり、やらなければならない状態になるのが一番物事が早く進む…
なんて思いながら、紙やすりをかけ、一度目の油性ニス塗りを終えた用とした頃。
油性ニス入りの缶をひっくり返した（爆）

まだ１／３程度しか使っていなかったのに、勿体無い…
（しかも、徳用サイズの大入りしかなかったので、結構な金額だった（爆））で、微妙に残った油性ニスに、家族が以前使った残りとして残していた同じメーカーの油性ニスを混ぜて塗ろうとしたら、煮こごりみたいになり（爆）
（裏面を見たら、ちょっと成分が違ってた）

結局、同じものを買ってくる羽目になった…
混ぜちゃいかんのは洗剤だけじゃなかった（爆）

そんなこともありつつ、なんとか修理を終えた掲示板も本日無事に設置してもらい、ちょっと心の荷が下りた。

The day after the typhoon passed over, it was a sunny day, as if the typhoon had never come in the first place.
So, since the wind and temperature were just right, I decided to repair a bulletin board that had been neglected for several months and had become damaged.

I painted oil-based varnish on a wooden bunk bed that my father had dismantled a few years ago and installed it on the wall of the warehouse facing the street, posting flyers for exhibitions and promotions.
It was not elaborately made or painted, but the neighbors liked it, so I did nothing special with it, but it was exposed to the wind and rain, and recently the varnish was peeling off, showing that it was visibly damaged.

I thought I would be lucky if it would look shabby, but it has turned out to be not shabby at all, but seedy.

I thought, “I have to fix it…” and left it for several months.
(I was going to do it, but then summer came…)
I finally got around to it this weekend when I found something I wanted to post on the wall.

I knew that the best way to get things done is to get them in a state where they have to be done….
I was just about to finish sanding and applying the first coat of oil-based varnish.
I knocked over a can of oil-based varnish.

I had only used about 1/3 of it, and it was a waste…
（I tried to mix the leftover oil-based varnish with the oil-based varnish of the same manufacturer that my family had left as a leftover from a previous use, but it turned out to be like jellied fish or meat broth.
(I looked at the reverse side and found that the ingredients were a little different.)

I ended up having to buy the same thing…
It wasn’t only detergent that we shouldn’t mix.

Despite all this, I managed to get the repaired bulletin board safely installed today, which lifted a bit of a load off my mind.
