Camera and Memories.
学生時代に初めて買ったコンパクトデジタルカメラ

隣に住むご夫婦のコンデジ（コンパクトデジタルカメラ）が壊れたということで、一緒に買いに行く事になった。
（私は隣近所と我が家のIT担当）

近所の大手家電量販店に行って、店員さんに説明してもらいながら、一緒に選んで無事購入。
帰宅してから、「そういえば学生時代に買ったコンデジがまだあった気がする…」と思ってゴソゴソ探してみたら、あった。

懐かしい。

購入した当時、写真を撮ることに興味があったし、コンデジが安価に販売されるようになってすごく流行っていたので買った。
（写真の現像にも興味があって、カメラチェーンでアルバイトもしていた）

母がフィルムの一眼レフを愛用していて、私が生まれた時から写真はよく撮ってくれたけど、あんまり撮られるのは好きじゃなかったな、ということも思い出した。
（今は照れ臭い）

メディアはコンパクトフラッシュで、懐かしさが倍増。
（メモリースティックとかMOとか、他にも色々あった）

後日、試し撮りしたのをパソコンで確認したら、L版のプリントやネットに載せるのなら十分なレベルだった。
スマホやミラーレス一眼があるからコンデジは要らないんだけど、思い入れがあるものなので、たまに使って、動かなくなるまで手元に置いておこうと思う。
（母が興味深々なので、母が使う可能性も高いと思われる）

The couple living next door to us had a broken compact digital camera, so I decided to go out and buy one together.
(I am in charge of IT for the next door neighbor and our house)

We went to a major electronics retailer in the neighborhood, and while the sales clerk explained the product to us, we made a selection together and successfully purchased it.
After returning home, I thought, “I think I still have a compact digital camera I bought when I was a student…”, so I rummaged around and found it.

It brings back memories.

At the time when I bought it, I was interested in taking pictures and bought it because conpact digital cameras had become inexpensive and were very popular.
(I was also interested in developing photos and had a part-time job at a camera chain.)

I also remembered that my mother loved a film SLR and she took a lot of pictures since I was born, but she didn’t like to be photographed very much.
(Now I’m embarrassed.)

The media was Compact Flash, which doubled the nostalgia.
(There were memory sticks, MO’s, and all sorts of other things.)

Later, when I checked the test shots on my computer, they were good enough for L-prints and putting them on the Internet.
I don’t need a condenser since I have a smartphone and a mirrorless SLR, but it’s something I’m very attached to, so I’ll use it occasionally and keep it on hand until it stops working.
(My mother is very interested in it, so It seems likely that she will use it.)
