You know you can’t see the end in sight.

作り始めてから、やめておけばよかったな…と思う事は比較的よくある。

予想より手間がかかる事がわかったり、手間がかかる事はわかっていたのに、デザインができた時の高揚感からの根拠不明の大丈夫感（ホント、学習しないな…）により無かったことにされるアレだとか。
私にとっての代表的なソレが鏡面仕上げである。
（表面がピカピカのやつね）

鏡面仕上げは磨けば磨くほど、きれいになればなるほど些細な傷が気になるので、終わりが見えないのが非常に辛い。
でも、蜜蝋鋳造技法と組み合わせると対比が素敵なので作りたくなる。

というわけで、今、頑張っている。

It is relatively common to start making something and then wish you hadn’t….

Or, when you know that it will take more work than expected, or when you are so elated at the completion of the design that you feel a sense of relief (you never learn, do you?) that you pretend it didn’t happen.
For me, a typical example is a mirror finish.
(The one with a shiny surface.)
The more I polish the mirror finish, the more I worry about minor scratches, and it is very hard to see the end of the process.
But when combined with the beeswax casting technique, the contrast is wonderful and makes me want to make it.

So, I’m working hard on it now.
